One of our mission stated goals is to empower our clients on a path to secure their own financially confident future. For that reason, we regularly host educational events that provide a variety of life and financial tools to help our clients and guests relieve the anxiety around financial planning. The event feedback has been overwhelming positive with one caveat, “This is great, but our kids’ and grandkids’ future is really a priority right now, can you help us with that?”

Heard loud and clear. Last fall we organized a group of community minded and incredibly accomplished women in Anchorage – with one aim – empower youth in our community by hosting the first ever Girls Empowerment Summit. The Bear Tooth theatre filled up with teen girls and their families to watch the all-female produced documentary film, The Empowerment Project it delivered one important message “You have the power to be anything you want to be”. We challenged the girls to start school clubs like West High’s Women of West, to do what women do best – support each other in the creation and pursuit of ambitious endeavors.

The girls at Dimond High did just that (warning, proud mom moment coming up): They were featured on KTUU, Inspired by Empowerment Summit, Dimond students create Women’s Club.

Next month we are hosting parent expert, Myla Rugge from Washington as she guides us parents on raising empowered kids, and helping your child thrive. Myla is a former academic counselor and consultant with the UW School of Medicine Admissions.
