We are pleased to announce the hiring of Nicholas Cohen as our newest Associate Financial Advisor. Nic joins APCM Wealth Management for Individuals with over four years of financial industry experience and a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Northern Arizona University. Directly after college, Nic began earning his financial licenses, including his Series 7, Series 66, as well as his Life and Health Insurance License. During the last three years, he has been part of the investment and financial planning programs at local credit unions. Nic is currently enrolled in the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) certificate program at Boston University. He aims to have his course work finished in 2020 and to hold the CFP® designation soon thereafter.
Nic is a second-generation Alaskan who loves everything the state has to offer. He is an avid outdoorsman; on any given day you can find him with his wife and dog in the Chugach Mountains or fishing on the Kenai. In the winter, Nic serves his community as a youth hockey coach. Several players he coached went on to play NCAA collegiate hockey and many more, ACHA hockey. Nic happily reports that most of his former players, in addition to their hockey achievements, have earned academic scholarships.
We are delighted to add another up and coming financial professional to our team and keep another talented Alaskan in our great state. When asked about his decision to enter the finance industry Nic said, “Most people, including my younger self, never learn about money. I took it upon myself to get educated and help others feel confident in their ability to achieve their financial goals.”
