Change is the only constant in life, they say. Embracing this philosophy, I’ve leaped from one exciting opportunity to another, and my latest adventure brings me to Alaska Wealth Advisors. The prospect of growth and innovation here has me absolutely thrilled.
My journey thus far has been a series of transformative experiences. Each chapter has added new dimensions to my skill set and personal growth. From my early days in customer service jobs where I honed my soft skills, to my recent roles in consulting and finance fields where I sharpened the analytical side of my brain – every step has been a building block in my career.
During this journey of constant change, one thing was constant, my education. My time at the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) stands out as a significant chapter in my life that provided me with the solid foundation needed to thrive in an ever-evolving professional landscape. At UAA, I double majored in Marketing and Finance, but my curious mind also drove me to obtain a minor in Economics. Most recently, I also earned my Master of Business Administration, with a Leadership emphasis. While at UAA, I not only built a strong academic foundation but also learned how sharing knowledge and skills can make a significant difference in the community.
My belief in the power of community involvement led me to become actively engaged in various volunteer and outreach programs. Some of the organizations I actively engage with include but are not limited to the American Cancer Society, Alaska Academic Decathlon, Alaska Public Media, Anchorage Chamber, Blood Bank of Alaska, Alaska Geographic, Food Bank of Alaska, Alaska USA Pageants, Alaska Zoo, and others. I also currently serve on the executive board of the Young Professionals Group.
This deep sense of community and the desire to make a positive impact extend into my new role as an Associate Financial Advisor. Just as I’ve passionately contributed to various community organizations, I’m excited to bring the same enthusiasm and dedication to my career. In this role, I see a unique opportunity not only to continue my personal and professional growth but also to be a part of a team that I believe is pioneering change in our industry.
