Empowering the Next Generation Through Internships
Our internship program offers aspiring professionals a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in the financial industry. Interns will work alongside experienced advisors, learning valuable skills such as:
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Interns assist in developing comprehensive financial plans for clients, analyzing their financial goals, risk tolerance, and investment needs.
- Investment Research and Portfolio Management: Interns conduct in-depth research on various investment strategies, asset classes, and economic trends. They may also assist in portfolio management tasks, such as rebalancing portfolios and monitoring performance.
- Client Relationship Management: Interns gain valuable experience in building and maintaining strong client relationships. They learn how to effectively communicate with clients, address their concerns, and provide exceptional service.
- Marketing and Communications: Interns contribute to marketing and communications initiatives, including creating content for social media, developing marketing materials, and organizing client events.
The experiences gained through our internship expose the interns to a new array of possibilities in the workplace. Internships are typically on a semester-long rotation.

In 2025, Alaska Wealth Advisors is excited to launch a scholarship program to support talented students pursuing higher education at the University of Alaska. This scholarship will provide financial assistance to students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and a commitment to serving the Alaska community.
By investing in the education of young Alaskans, we’re not only empowering individuals but also strengthening our state’s future workforce. Our scholarship program aligns with our broader commitment to supporting the University of Alaska and its mission to provide quality education to students across the state.
We’re excited to officially launch this scholarship program at UAA’s College of Business and Public Policy’s annual Student Meet Up on Friday, November 15th. This event will provide students with an opportunity to learn more about the scholarship, connect with our team, and ask any questions they may have.
